Mathieu has over 20 years of experience in applied research & development within the pharmaceutical industry. His expertise in analytical chemistry helps him meet the ever-changing demands of the life sciences industry's diverse clientele worldwide.
Throughout his career, he has overseen the development and validation of methods needed for routine testing, risk assessments, and various studies required for submitting NDA/ANDA applications and post-commercial support. Additionally, he has provided health authorities with expert answers on numerous dosage forms including tablets, capsules, ophthalmic solutions, and injectable products. Mathieu's specialization in mass spectrometry has led him to develop analytical services for tackling technical issues related to elemental impurities, extractables & leachables, and genotoxic impurities. In his current position, he is expanding his expertise to include the strategic implementation of new services across multiple fields, such as biopharmaceutical drug product testing.
Mathieu holds a Master of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry, specializing in small molecule analysis by LC/MS from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM).
Mathieu has been playing the clarinet for 27 years. He performs with orchestras, and dreams of switching things up by starting a pop-rock band.
