As a leading full-service analytical laboratory serving the pharmaceutical industry for more than 30 years, at Neopharm, we are investing in the development of a new facility with state-of-the-art technology to support the growing field of biological products in the healthcare industry.
"We are very excited to develop a state-of-the-art analytical service dedicated entirely to vaccines and biologics. We look forward to collaborating with all stakeholders to support the development and commercialization of new vaccines and biologic drugs, meeting crucial regulatory requirements faster and more reliably,” says Yvan Côté, President and General Manager at Neopharm.
A Strategic Partner of Choice
The new Life Science facility will be ready to support the Canadian vaccine and biologic market at the end of 2023. “This investment shows Neopharm's commitment to staying on top of our community needs. Expanding our current services will generate new sources of jobs in the analytical services,” says Mathieu Fournier, Chief Scientific Officer at Neopharm.
This venture will consolidate Neopharm Labs' growth strategy and further diversify its services for the life sciences industry in North America.
“Neopharm is committed to growing its business through strategic investments to drive innovation,” says Jorge Ganopolsky, Scientific Director of the Life Sciences division at Neopharm. “The new division will further strengthen our relationships with current and potential customers.”

About Vaccines
Vaccines are suspensions containing weakened, killed, or fragmented microorganisms or toxins or other biological preparations, such as those consisting of recombinant proteins, adenoviruses, or messenger RNA (mRNA), that is administered primarily to prevent disease.
Vaccines train the immune system to create antibodies just as it does when it’s exposed to a disease. However, because vaccines contain only weakened forms of germs like viruses or bacteria, they do not cause the disease neither the risks of its complications. Vaccine ingredients can look unfamiliar when they are listed on a label. However, many of the components used in vaccines occur naturally in the body, in the environment, and in the foods we eat. All the ingredients in vaccines – as well as the vaccines themselves - are thoroughly tested and monitored to ensure they are safe.

About Biologic Drugs
Biologics are powerful medications that originated from living sources, such as humans, animals, and even bacteria. A broad range of common and rare diseases are treated with this type of medications, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and diabetes. Considering such diverse sources, biologics are usually much more complex than other medications.
